ABOUT ZELLAH

BSc (Hons), PgDip (VetPhys), MCSP, HCPC, ACPAT A

Zellah Theobald is a Chartered Physiotherapist, specialising in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Zellah qualified in 2012 from Cardiff University with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy where she began her career working in the NHS- predominantly specialising in acute trauma, alongside neurological and rehabilitation specialities. Zellah has also worked within a variety of sports settings including rugby and athletics. Zellah continues her human practice predominantly with rider assessments and rehabilitation, alongside musculoskeletal injury and performance rehabilitation. Zellah is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and has had additional training to practice acupuncture for a variety of conditions and uses this, when appropriate, as an adjunct to her treatments. Zellah is also trained in Matwork level Pilates and regularly uses this specifically with rider rehabilitation.

Zellah then went onto gain a PgDip in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Hartpury College (UWE) to begin her Veterinary Physiotherapy career, which was the lifelong dream.

Zellah started working with Fursman Physiotherapy- gaining a wealth of experience treating a variety of cases- enjoying a focus on horse and rider performance.

Zellah has always ridden and owned horses, which kick started the passion to want to work with them- this background

which has enabled Zellah to provide a thorough understanding of what each discipline requires- allowing for a detailed assessment and treatment for each individual horse. She now does this independently throughout the Wiltshire and Somerset regions.

Since qualifying, Zellah initially worked for two and a half years at The Win Clinic, Wellington where she gained extensive experience working with high level performance dogs, working with the GB team agility dogs and their handlers - providing specific strength and conditioning programmes, maintenance reviews and keeping these athletes injury free.

Zellah also enjoys treating a variety of canine surgical cases, management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as neurological rehabilitation. We travel to your homes to see your dogs, but very soon will be offering a clinic space just outside of Bath.
