PHYSIOTHERAPY

What exactly is physiotherapy and how can it help?

Physiotherapy is the thorough assessment of movement, biomechanics and function to help treat, restore and rehabilitate after injury, surgery, illness or to progress and improve sporting performance. It is an evidence based profession and aims to reduce pain, optimise function and improve the body’s movement both athletically and biomechanically.

As much as we wish our animals could tell us when somethings wrong, most are very good at hiding pain and it can sometimes be a very subtle change that can indicate discomfort. We use a variety of observational and physical techniques to assess for pain in your animal and rely on good discussion with owners to help develop a picture.
